Parallels has expanded its collaboration with Nutanix by adding support for Nutanix Prism in Parallels RAS. The integration is designed to simplify virtual application and desktop delivery by giving IT teams centralized management, faster provisioning, and scalable operations while reducing infrastructure complexity.
Through its support for Nutanix Prism, Parallels RAS enables administrators to provision and manage virtual desktops and applications on Nutanix infrastructure through a centralized platform, reducing operational complexity compared to traditional architectures, which often require managing multiple management tools and infrastructure components. The result is a more streamlined approach to deploying, managing, and scaling virtual applications and desktops.
Building on years of collaboration between Parallels and Nutanix, this update comes as organizations look for alternatives to traditional architectures that often require multiple management layers, specialized expertise, and significant operational overhead. Together, Parallels RAS and Nutanix provide a more efficient solution that helps organizations reduce operational burden and optimize total cost of ownership.
“As organizations modernize their infrastructure, simplicity remains one of the most important factors in successful virtual desktop and application deployments,” said Elena Koryakina, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Parallels. “With support for Nutanix Prism, Parallels RAS enables customers to manage their environments through a centralized platform while benefitting from the simplicity, scalability, and ease of management Parallels is known for. By spending less time managing infrastructure, IT teams can focus on supporting users and business priorities.”
The addition of Nutanix Prism support further streamlines how IT teams deploy and manage virtual applications and desktops on Nutanix infrastructure. The integration enables centralized provisioning and scaling while helping organizations support hybrid cloud strategies and evolving business requirements.
“Managing application delivery across a global workforce requires technology that is reliable, easy to manage, and able to scale with our business,” said Scott Virgo, Head of IT Operations at Your World Recruitment. “The combination of Parallels RAS and Nutanix has simplified our infrastructure, reduced administrative complexity, and given us the performance we need to securely deliver critical applications to our global workforce.”
“As organizations modernize their digital workspaces, they are placing greater emphasis on solutions that simplify management while supporting flexible infrastructure strategies,” said Filippo Vanara, Research Manager, Worldwide Enterprise Client Computing Platforms at IDC. “Integrating application and desktop delivery with centralized infrastructure management can help reduce administrative overhead and make it easier for IT teams to provision, operate, and scale environments as business needs evolve.”
“Organizations are increasingly looking for simpler ways to manage and scale virtual desktop and application environments across on-premises and hybrid cloud infrastructure,” said Ketan Shah, VP of Products at Nutanix. “We’re pleased to see Parallels RAS support Nutanix Prism, helping customers streamline operations, simplify management, and deliver applications and desktops more efficiently to end users.”
The continued collaboration between Parallels and Nutanix reflects both companies’ commitment to helping organizations modernize application and desktop delivery with solutions that are easier to deploy, manage, and scale.
