Intrado and samdesk Connect Risk Detection and Emergency Communications

Intrado and samdesk announced an integration that links samdesk’s real-time event detection capabilities with Intrado’s Enterprise 9-1-1 (E9-1-1) and OneAlert™ mass notification platform. By delivering early intelligence about emerging incidents directly to the communication tools security teams already rely on, the integration helps organizations quickly incorporate relevant event information into emergency response workflows.

Intrado and samdesk will attend GSX 2026, from September 14-16 in Atlanta, where both companies will be available to connect with security industry leaders and stakeholders. Attendees can visit Intrado at Booth #4514, and samdesk at Booth #3618 on the exhibition floor.

Intrado brings its established emergency communications footprint and E9-1-1 capabilities to the collaboration, providing internal visibility to reveal what is happening inside a facility or campus in real time. Intrado’s Emergency Routing Service (ERS) connects organizations to more than 6,000 public safety answering points across North America, helping organizations meet Kari’s Law and RAY BAUM’s Act requirements. OneAlert™ delivers mass notification and alerting across IP phones, loudspeakers, and other channels. Together, these solutions serve thousands of organizations.

Samdesk brings real-time risk detection and verified alerting capabilities to the integration, offering credible incident context so security teams can detect and understand emerging incidents around their assets, people, and operations. By integrating with Intrado solutions, samdesk is expanding the role of incident alerting by connecting event awareness more directly with downstream emergency response and communication.

“Security operations teams can currently only see external risks and internal 9-1-1 activity separately, but not together,” said Lou Blatt, Chief Product Officer at Intrado. “Integrating samdesk’s detection with ERS and OneAlert connects those perspectives, giving them the full incident picture in situations when it matters most.”

“Early awareness creates decision time, and that advantage becomes more valuable when credible incident context can move directly into the systems teams use to respond,” said James Neufeld, CEO and founder of samdesk. “Our collaboration with Intrado connects real-time risk detection with emergency communications, helping security teams move more quickly from understanding what’s happening to coordinating the right response.”

The initiative builds on Intrado’s work in critical event management and expansion in security operations. Intrado has spent more than 47 years connecting people to help during emergencies, and this integration extends samdesk’s early awareness and detection systems into the public safety ecosystem.
