The IGEL Ready Partner of the Year Awards program recognizes IGEL Ready partners that have demonstrated strong commitment to customer success, active engagement in the IGEL Ready Program and success on a global scale. Partners are also recognized for having a clearly differentiated value proposition for customers and partners, when their solutions are combined with IGEL, as well as their ability to improve the customer experience through their alliance with IGEL.
Just three years after becoming an IGEL-ready technology partner, LG Business Solutions has been named IGEL Ready Collaboration Partner of the Year.
Stephen K. Hu, senior director of IT business development at LG Business Solutions USA, said, “As cloud computing and edge devices grow in popularity, our partnership with IGEL, and the availability of IGEL OS on our products, will further enhance our competitive strength and position LG as a forward-looking technology leader that rapidly adapts to shifts in business culture and needs.”
LG Business Solutions USA became an official IGEL Ready partner in 2020 and has already introduced a number of models of laptops, all-in-one thin clients and desktop thin clients running the IGEL OS to provide customers with greater choice and flexibility as they pursue cloud-based solutions. The partnership provides LG access to IGEL’s core enterprise software for validation and integration into new hardware. The success of this partnership continues to grow, and LG’s 2023 product roadmap includes multiple additional IGEL OS models that will be launched simultaneously alongside traditional OS-based hardware.
“Congratulations to LG Business Solutions on its success as a valued member of the IGEL Ready ecosystem,” said Divya Saggar, Director, IGEL Ready. “We are grateful for LG’s commitment to IGEL Ready, and proud to be working with them to fulfill our mission of making it easier for our mutual customers to deploy, secure and manage their modern workplace environments.”
The broad feature set of IGEL OS supports remote access and reliable multi-protocol connectivity to VDI environments and cloud workspaces including support for Citrix, VMware and Microsoft via LG Electronics’ family of cloud-based endpoint devices. Through the IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS) software, users of LG’s cloud devices also benefit from a robust and secure standardized endpoint security and optimization system that enables the cost-effective management of any terminal device running the Linux-based IGEL OS.
