LG Electronics USA, a leader in education technology, is partnering with edtech pioneer Design Mindset to host a two-day, invitation-only Futures Workshop for Educators on July 21–22 at Bauer’s Candy Factory Coworking Space in Denver, Colorado. This exclusive event will offer K–12 educators, tech coaches, and instructional leaders an immersive, hands-on experience combining innovative tools with forward-thinking strategies.

“Education is being rewritten by rapidly evolving technologies,” said Victoria Sanville, education director at LG Electronics USA. “As educators, we need to stay ahead of the curve to provide today’s students with the best possible learning outcomes in an increasingly AI centric world. Together with Design Mindset, we’re inviting forward-thinking educators to collaborate with us on ways to move from ‘what now?’ to ‘what if?’ – and co-create the future of learning.”

During the Futures Workshop for Educators, participants will enter a collaborative design lab featuring:

  • AI + Design Thinking in Action – Apply empathy, ideation and prototyping to reimagine K-12 education.
  • Hands-On LG CreateBoard Sessions – Explore how interactive tools enable future-ready classrooms.
  • Immersive AI Integration – Experiment with platforms likeChatGPT, Gemini and Miro to reshape student engagement.
  • Keynotes & Social Salons – Engage in meaningful conversations about the human side of AI.
  • Vision Pitch Fest – Pitch bold educational concepts to a panel of “2039” educators and technologists.

The workshop will kick off with a keynote by acclaimed educator Kevin Brookhouser, author of, among others, The 20time ProjectCode in Every Class, and Teaching Future-Ready Students. Self-described as a “Learning Animal,” Brookhouser believes the world’s biggest challenges can be solved by students empowered with the right tools and guidance. He teaches language arts, computer programming, and design thinking at York School in Monterey, Calif., and is a Google for Education Certified Innovator, Google Certified Trainer, and National Association of Independent Schools Teacher of the Future.

According to Sanville, each participating district will receive a free LG CreateBoard interactive display, and every attendee will earn certification as a Certified LG Educator at the conclusion of the workshop.

Design Mindset champions a future where technology, design thinking, and human-centered professional learning intersect to empower tomorrow’s leaders and problem-solvers.
