Zero Networks AI Segmentation Stops AI Threats and Simplifies Security

Zero Networks introduced AI Segmentation, a new set of platform capabilities that gives enterprises real control over AI, not just visibility. The release addresses three key challenges: AI agents operating with unrestricted network access, AI-driven lateral movement (AILM) spreading faster than teams can react, and compliance and risk operations struggling to keep up with the environment.

Recent Zero Networks’ telemetry highlights the urgency of the problem: AI usage is already present in approximately 80% of enterprise environments, with tens of thousands of endpoints interacting with platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude. At the same time, high volumes of API calls (reaching into the hundreds of thousands) indicate growing backend automation and agent-driven activity. Despite this rapid adoption, virtually no AI access is being blocked, exposing a significant gap between visibility and real control.

Zero Networks addresses all three: governing AI via granular network identity controls, stopping AI lateral movement at the source, and putting AI to work inside the platform where it can make security operations faster and more precise.

“Most vendors are out there selling AI hype. We’re not. Zero Networks puts enterprises in control of AI — full stop,” said Zero Networks CEO and Co-Founder, Benny Lakunishok. “This isn’t just visibility. It’s real control. Real-time, deterministic control over AI agents, combined with AI-driven visibility and an integrated Compliance and Risk Engine that continuously scores risk, maps activity to frameworks like NIS2 and CIS Benchmarks, and flags what actually matters. While others are still watching dashboards, Zero is enforcing outcomes — stopping lateral movement and preventing threats from becoming business problems.”

Zero Networks introduces:

  • AI Visibility + Control:
    • AI SaaS Control: Governs which cloud AI services employees, users, and devices can access at the network layer. Organizations can control access to sanctioned tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, and others while automatically blocking unsanctioned or shadow AI services across the environment.
    • AI Agent Control: Provides visibility and enforcement for every AI agent operating in the environment. Organizations can identify which agents are running, what they’re accessing, and how they communicate, while enforcing the same identity-based controls applied to users and devices, with strict least-privilege boundaries on every interaction.
    • LLM Protection: Secures model infrastructure at the network layer so only authorized systems can reach it. By segmenting access to LLM environments, Zero Networks helps prevent tampering, poisoned data inputs, hidden backdoors, and compromised models from accessing critical resources.
  • AI Lateral Movement Control: Stops the spread of both AI-driven attacks and autonomous agent activity by eliminating lateral movement at its source. By enforcing identity- and network-based least privilege, Zero Networks removes unnecessary connectivity across the environment to ensure unauthorized users, systems, or AI agents cannot access critical resources.
  • AI-Powered Compliance and Risk Engine: Embeds AI into security operations to simplify investigation and continuously prove compliance. Security teams can query live network activity in natural language and analyze behavior across billions of connections, while the platform evaluates activity against frameworks such as NIS2 and CIS Benchmarks, assigning dynamic risk scores and identifying the most critical gaps in real time.
