Instabase Becomes SuperApp, Launching New AI Collaboration Platform

SuperApp, Inc., formerly known as Instabase, Inc., has launched its AI collaboration platform, SuperApp, marking the company’s transition from Instabase to SuperApp. The platform provides teams and leading AI models with a shared workspace to collaborate, create and complete work in one place.

SuperApp combines the communication of Slack, the intelligence of the world’s leading AI models and the collaborative creation of Google Docs in one super app.

Work today is divided among separate tools for communication, AI and content creation. Teams talk in one place, ask AI in another and assemble the final deliverable somewhere else. Every handoff loses context. SuperApp removes the handoffs. The conversation becomes the workspace, with sources, feedback, decisions and finished work connected from the first idea to the final deliverable.

Inside a SuperApp thread, teams can add source files and turn a request into a document, presentation, spreadsheet or interactive app without moving the work from tool to tool.

Founded as Instabase in 2015, the company has raised more than $250 million and is now SuperApp, Inc. The transition marks a new product and a new company direction centered on AI collaboration. SuperApp is an entirely new product, not a rebrand of Instabase AI Hub. AI Hub remains supported and will begin using SuperApp technology under the hood.

“AI has largely been built for one person at a time, but meaningful work is done by teams,” said Anant Bhardwaj, founder and CEO of SuperApp, Inc. “A private chatbot gives one person an answer. SuperApp gives the entire team and the world’s leading AI models one shared place to turn an idea into finished work.”

The Conversation Becomes the Workspace

SuperApp is built around a simple idea: the conversation should not end when the work begins. It should become the workspace.

In a SuperApp thread, people and AI share the same discussion, source material and evolving deliverable. Teammates can add evidence, sharpen the request, challenge the reasoning, compare answers, revise the work and approve the final version together.

SuperApp brings together three experiences that teams usually manage in separate applications:

Communication: Teams and AI work together in one live thread.

Intelligence: Teams can choose the best model for each step without being locked into a single provider.

Creation: Finished work is created, reviewed and approved where the thinking happened.

“The best AI will keep changing. Your work should not have to,” Bhardwaj said. “SuperApp lets organizations switch models, control their data and choose how they deploy without losing the context or record behind the work. Freedom is not a feature. It is the foundation.”

Freedom to Choose What Comes Next

No single model is best at everything. SuperApp provides access to Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok and other leading models. It can route work by capability so each step uses the intelligence best suited to the task. People can also select a preferred model or compare several models in the same context.

SuperApp is designed around three freedoms: freedom of model, freedom of data and freedom of cloud. Organizations can adopt a better model without rebuilding their applications. They can keep conversations, files, artifacts and AI activity exportable and under their control. They can also choose managed or dedicated enterprise deployment without architectural lock-in.

Trust Is Not a Promise. It Is a Record.

SuperApp keeps sources, AI activity, human feedback, revisions and approvals connected in one durable, inspectable record. Teams can trace what shaped the work, see what changed and confirm the approved version. Important actions require human approval.

Built to Finish the Work

SuperApp is designed for outcomes, not just answers. A request can become a researched brief, presentation, spreadsheet, dashboard or interactive app inside the same thread. The work can then be reviewed, revised, approved and shared without losing the thinking that produced it.

Availability

SuperApp is available today at the website here and through its desktop, iOS and Android apps. Plans include Free, Personal, Team and Enterprise.
