Galaxy A17 5G and Galaxy Tab A11+ Expands Samsung’s Galaxy Ecosystem

Samsung Electronics America unveiled two new mobile devices, the Galaxy A17 5G and Galaxy Tab A11+, broadening the Galaxy ecosystem to provide engaging, useful, and affordable experiences for all users.

As the starting point for the Galaxy smartphone experience, Galaxy A17 5G introduces several updates for the Galaxy A series including improved cameras, enhanced durability, and innovative AI experiences.

Galaxy Tab A11+ is a do-it-all device offering excellent performance for everyday use. Designed to fit a wide range of needs, it’s a great option for a shared device with features to keep everyone in the house connected.

Galaxy A17 5G: Delivering the Core Experiences Users Rely On

Galaxy A17 5G offers a beautifully refined design that is slimmer and lighter than the previous generation. Its 6.7” FHD+ Super AMOLED display(2) is vivid and bright with an up to 90Hz refresh rate — great for streaming and gaming — and its high capacity 5,000mAh battery can recharge up to 50% in just 30 minutes with 25W Super Fast Charging, helping you stay connected.(3)

The versatile camera system delivers in a wide range of conditions, plus new optical image stabilization helps you capture more stable, blur-free videos and brighter photos, even in low light conditions. Galaxy A17 5G is crafted to capture the moments you’ll cherish in stunning quality that lives up to the memory.

Powering these incredible camera experiences is the Exynos 1330 processor, which delivers a smooth experience even when completing energy intensive tasks like HD streaming or gaming. Galaxy Tab A11+ makes some of Galaxy’s most popular AI features available to more Galaxy users, including Circle to Search, available for the first time ever on Galaxy Tab A series. Circle to Search helps you learn more about whatever is on your screen with a simple, intuitive gesture. Activate with a long press of the on-screen home button then circle nearly anything you see on your screen to learn more. Plus, you can quickly access Gemini(10) with a press of the power button for instant help with whatever you’re working on.

Galaxy Tab A11+ also opens users up to all the benefits of the Galaxy ecosystem and the versatility of the connected Galaxy experience. Samsung Notes supports sketches and notetaking across Galaxy devices and can solve typed or handwritten equations with Math Solver.(11)  You can even enjoy greater productivity from anywhere with DeX Standalone Edition(12), Galaxy’s desktop-like experience which can be enabled with a simple finger drag.

The updated Galaxy A11+ design is aligned to the premium Galaxy experience including the camera deco, side keys, and bar type speaker holes reminiscent of an S series smartphone.

Samsung is also offering a sleek Book Cover that offers freestanding viewing in landscape and portrait orientation and is equipped with reinforced protection.

Pricing and Availability

Galaxy A17 5G will go on sale in the U.S. starting Jan. 7, and will be available at AT&T,  T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Verizon, and Samsung Experience Stores, as well as retailers and carriers nationwide.

Available in Black, Blue, and Gray, Galaxy A17 5G starts at $199.99 and comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage,(13) along with the option to add up to 2TB of storage with microSD.(14) Those who purchase on Samsung.com can receive up to 30% off Galaxy Buds3 FE(15) or up to 10% off Galaxy Watch7.(16)

Galaxy Tab A11+ will be available on January 8, starting at $249.99. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage,12  plus up to 2TB of expandable storage with microSD.(13) Customers can also select the 5G version with all major carriers, so you can stay connected wherever you are. Galaxy Tab A11+ will be available in two color options: Gray and Silver.
